Looking at the world, it does appear that there is a battle between good and evil.
It is believed that we must choose between good and evil, and our eternal destiny is determined by our choices. Christians believe that God sent Jesus to help us make it to Heaven, but it is still up to us to accept the opportunity that Jesus provides us.
Isaiah 46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure
The God of the Bible has far more power than people seem to believe. The God of the Bible gets everything He wants. Everything has gone and will go as expected.
This does not mean we do not have “free will”, but our free choices will not prevent God from doing all His pleasure.
Isaiah 55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
The God of the Bible is far more righteous than us, and far more intelligent. God may create the illusion of a battle between good and evil, but God will do all His pleasure. Every single person that God wants to be in Heaven, will be there.
Luke 11:2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.
Jesus was not hoping for the will of God to be done in the earth, He was stating that the will of God will be done in the earth. This is as sure as the coming of His kingdom. This is consistent with the Jewish Scriptures.
Matthew 10:29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.
God loves the sparrows.
We cannot comprehend the infinite righteousness of God. We cannot thank God enough. We cannot praise God enough. We cannot be thankful enough for the infinite righteousness of God.
It is a glorious thing, that God will do all His pleasure.
This Theology:
There is general agreement among Christians as to which books were inspired by God, the disagreements among Christians are over interpretation. The Catholic church has sacred tradition which is how their scholars have interpreted the Bible. The protestants rejected sacred tradition, but protestant churches have each developed their own sacred tradition. Like the Catholics they believe their own interpretation of the Bible has the same authority as the Bible.
All interpretations of the Bible should be evaluated based on their consistency with the Bible regardless of the credentials of the person who developed them, regardless of when they were developed, and regardless of how consistent they are with other interpretations.
The following is a new interpretation of the Bible that is more consistent with the Bible than what is taught by the Catholics, the Orthodox or the Protestants.
First, God intentionally created a world of good and evil, so He go with us in our life’s journey. God did this to experience sorrow, loneliness and many other emotions through us. God feels what we feel. To know sorrow is to understand love, and this understanding would be essential to a righteous God.
Satan and the demons were intentionally not given any righteousness. It is these evil spirits who bring us into existence. They influence us causing us to sin to result in our eventual death. Evil spirits do this to grieve God, and they do it without committing a sin themselves. Satan is not so stupid as to openly battle God, so Satan is still in Heaven.
Satan cannot harm God other than causing God to grieve over us. By doing this, the devil does precisely what God wanted him to do, but righteousness must prevail in the end. This means that God must expose the hidden hatred of Satan, and God must redeem all the good humans.
The Day of Judgment is when God destroys all evil.
Goodness is rewarded, and sin is punished before the Day of Judgment in what is called temporal judgment. Everything we do is subject to both temporal judgment and the Day of Judgment. These two different applications of justice are both essential in God’s response to suffering, and these two different applications of justice explain some of the confusion in the Bible concerning heaven, hell, judgment and being saved. Sometimes the Bible is talking about temporal judgment.
God the Father transcends time and space. God the Holy Spirit is a consciousness of God moving in time in Heaven. God the Son is a consciousness of God moving in time at a level of reality that transcends Heaven. God the Son was born into the world as a human named Jesus. He lived and died, rose from the dead and returned to the transcending level of Heaven which is called the Right Hand of God.
Jesus said on the cross, “My God, why have you abandoned me?” God looked away from the crucifixion, and Satan openly cursed God not knowing that Jesus transcends Heaven. Satan and the demons are all thereby condemned as Jesus is a witness against them. This is what caused the suffering of Christ on the cross.
On the Day of Judgment, Jesus will lay down His body and this will allow the children of God to do the same. There is a great abundance of separation in the Bible often associated with redemption. Redemption by separation should be obvious, but the Gnostics were sent as a distraction. Our spirit is perfect and without sin. The flesh is not evil, it is weak. It is a straw in the wind easily influence by spiritual force, and the flesh is absolutely attached to the spirit. The oneness of spirit and flesh is why the Messiah is necessary to justify their separation.
Sometimes when the Bible speaks of the righteous, or those who do only good, it is speaking of the spirit within us, which, thanks to Christ, is judged separately. This understanding also clears up some Biblical confusion.
